should humans make their own decisions in life?

 should humans make their own decisions in life? -Sama Aggad 9A  going through life is a series of choices you made that got you to this very moment, we might deeply regret some bad decisions we made that lead to consequence that hurt you or others, dose that mean our choices should be controlled? would that solve anything? I have my doubts about this theory. limiting or completely discarding our ability to make our own choices, will do no good for society, some argue that "Humans are flawed and irrational and the decisions they make hurt themselves and or others" and to them i say, consequence's that come from our mistakes make us stronger (and even if we can temporarily suppress the consequences of our actions it will always be back) and we learn from them and evolve as a society, as for arguments stating that "some mistakes do not provide a lesson at the end" you most certainly did not look further into the events.   making our choices is our free will and ou
